Building in of the corner-stone for construction of the flue gas desulphurization plant in the Kozienice Power Station

|
 Construction of the flue gas desulphurization plant (FGD III) in Kozienice Power Station is executed in consortium with the Japanese concern Hitachi. The plant will serve to 500 MW power unit No 10 of the Kozienice Power Station.
It is one of the biggest pro-ecological investment projects in the Polish power industry - its total value amounts to EUR 77 million; therefrom a share of Energomontaż-Północ amounts to EUR 39 million.
On December 16 in Świerże Górne took place the ceremony of the building-in of the corner-stone. The management of the Kozienice Power Station was the host of the meeting. Among the guests were representatives of the Kozienice authorities, both secular as well as clerical ones in a person of the parish-priest of the Saint Family parish from Kozienice, who consecrated the erection act. There also were present representatives of the member of the consortium - Hitachi, and the Capital Group ENEA, as well as other companies acting on the premises of the Kozienice Power Station.
In the ceremony of the building-in of the corner-stone from Energomontaż-Północ side participated representatives of the Board: Włodzimierz Dyrka, Andrzej Orliński and Mirosław Białogłowski, and also Director Franciszek Dzięgielewski and Stanisław Szczęsny, as well as the Board of Directors and Management of the Kozienice Region, as the main contractor of this undertaking.
In the frame of the contract in Kozienice, Energomontaż-Północ will be mostly carrying out construction/erection works, as well as design ones. The Group of Energomontaż-Północ will execute, among others, majority of needed steel structures and piping, as well as reconstruct the part of the conveyers, whereas the Japanese concern Hitachi will deliver a part of the desulphurization plan and licenses for their operational use. Employees of Energomontaż-Północ will mostly carry out construction/erection works. At execution of the contract FGD III will be working about 90 employees on the average, i.e. the whole team of the Kozienice Region.

Erection of the reactor at the construction of HON VII in Orlen
|
|
 The reactor has been manufactured by the Italian company SICES in the frame of supplies of the main contractor, which is TECHNIP ITALI. The reactor arrived by sea to Gdańsk. Then on the special barge reached Płock by the Vistula river. However, it had been lasted longer than estimated, because earlier the low level of water in the Vistula River did not allow for safe transportation.
The reactor is the biggest and heaviest part of the whole HON VII plant. It weighs over 400 ton, its length amounts to over 28 meters, and the diameter is 5.5 m. For its unloading were used two huge cranes, and it was transported with the special heavy trailer 80 ton to the erection site. It has been one of the biggest operations of this kind in Poland. Thanks to big commitment of the Energomontaż-Północ team everything was executed according to the schedule, without any unforeseen problems. Erection of the reactor caused also no problems and during one week since its delivery to the site this component was standing at its place.
Energomontaż-Północ is a general contractor of this contract. In the frame of the project HON VII our Company deals mainly with erection of apparatuses of the Diesel oil hydrodesulphurization unit and erection of the steel structures.

The 55th anniversary of Energomontaż-Północ
|

 The Anniversary Gala on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of Energomontaż-Północ took place on September 30 at the Porczyński Gallery in Warsaw.
To the ceremony arrived 170 persons. Anniversary awards received 115 employees of Energomontaż-Północ, who have worked in our Company at least 30 years. Among them were three persons with 45 years period of service, six persons with 40 years period of service, 45 persons with 35 years period of service, and 61 persons who have worked at least 30 years. Each celebrator of jubilee received the memorial watch with engraved logo of Energomontaż-Północ.
All celebrators of jubilee received also the memorial album and CD with the film about the Company. For the first time was presented and distributed the memorial badge with the logo of Energomontaż-Północ.
Atmosphere among the gathered animated plainly during the film presenting Energomontaż-Północ. On the pictures many persons recognized familiar situations, theirs friends, and even themselves.
After the ceremony, all invited participants of the Gala went for special food and drinks. Among the tables with food and drinks, the guests recalled the old days. It was an occasion to meet with the friends, who have been unseen for years.
We thank all employees, both present and former, for the years of pains and hardships and we wish them health and a lot of professional and personal satisfaction.

The big investment project in Sochaczew
|

 On May 2008, in Sochaczew took place the ceremony of the building-in of the corner-stone for construction of the Surface Treatment Department.
During the next two years Sochaczew's Energop, the dependent company of Energomontaż-Północ will spend over PLN 21 million on the investments. There will come into being the plant of prefabrication of piping and steel structures from high-quality steel, one of the most modern in the Europe.
Near by the existing main production hall from the ground up will come into being the entirely new Surface Treatment Department, in which will work the new blast cleaning and paint department. Thanks to this investment and purchase of the new machines and equipment, Energop will become one of the most modern centers of production of piping from alloy and high-quality steel. And not only in Poland, but also in the whole Europe.
